Giving is a noble way to thank the Creator, for all the bounties of nature.

The theme of this newsletter is 'Giving'. In this update we present several essays on this subject and its perspective in Quran and Sunnah. It tells us that giving is an act of goodness and God loves those who do good to others.

Following are the new essays, articles and opinions submitted by our members and guests:

Stewardship of wealth

It teaches us that we are not the absolute owners of our resources; we have an obligation to respect and care for our wealth, and share it with the needy and the poor.

In this essay, Ahmad Ibrahim examines the concept of 'Stewardship of wealth' in Quran and Sunnah of our Prophet(s.w). :

Infaaq

Spending in the Cause of God It is a means of nearness to God and supporting good causes, and a duty of every Muslim, in both prosperity and adversity.

In this article Dr. Tanveer Hussain explains the importance infaaq as driver for socio-economic change. :

Parable of the Quran: Grain of Corn

 A parable is a narrative of imagined events used to illustrate or convey a moral or spiritual lesson. Quran uses parables to convey its message. Quran says "And these similitudes we put forward for humankind, but none will understand them except those who have knowledge" (29:43)

In this essay, Saif Manzoor examines a parable from Quran, in which God has promised enormous returns for spending in the cause of God.

Book Review: The most beautiful names of Allah

 The book under review is written by Samira Fayyad Khawaldeh, published by Goodword Books. It presents the ninety-nine names of God in a simple manner. The author has relied on the verses of Quran and also some traditions. She has deduced many meanings which make it possible for the reader to experience the glory and greatness of God.
